Situated on the beautiful hillside of Deer Valley Resort at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater, this series has become a favorite weekly ritual for the locals of Summit County and it’s visitors. The July 4th weekend in Park City has become one of the most popular weekends of the summer! Take in a concert, catch the Oakley Rodeo, and enjoy the big parade on the 4th that runs the length of Main Street. Up to 10 people can try one of the most talked about Olympic Sports on Monday evenings. The Park City Curling Club provides the stones, hacks, sliders, helmets and brooms. The last Friday of every month the art galleries that line Main Street open their doors for a special event. Strollers are treated to snacks and beverages at each gallery, often artists are on hand as well as gallery workers to answer questions about their galleries collection. The Sundance Film Festival, a program of the Sundance Institute, takes place annually in Park City, Utah. . This marks the 20th year of international and world competitions hosted at Deer Valley. All competitions will be held at night under the lights at Deer Valley Resort. Men's and women's mogul events will be held on the Champion ski run on Wednesday, January 10 and Thursday, January 11, 2018. Men's and women's aerial events are scheduled on the White Owl ski run on Friday, January 12, 2018. Finals for all disciplines will take place in the evening, with a fireworks display concluding each night. This is an exciting event locals and visitors alike look forward to each year.
For 16 days Canyons hosts free concerts in the two villages at Park City Mountain, as well as the 22nd Annual Pond Skimming Contest! It's a wild tradition! The Pond Skimming Contest is Park City's most popular party and is the true indicator that spring has arrived. Contestants must dress in costume (the funkier the better) as they attempt to cross a 100-foot pond on skis or a snowboard. The pond and the excitement happen at mid-mountain just outside Red Pine Lodge. Enjoy lunch at Red Pine Lodge, ski or ride and then line up with the rest of the crowd to watch one of the most entertaining shows on snow!
On Easter Sunday head over to Park City Mountain to enjoy the annual Easter Egg hunt with the family. Events take place at both Canyons Village and the Park City base area as well as on mid-mountain. Fun for everyone, over 3,000 eggs are scattered all about the resort ready to be found.
